More Monmouth Musings

Patrick Impreveduto, a former Monmouth County Freeholder and former Holmdel Mayor issued his endorsement of Vicky Flynn for Assembly in LD 13 and Assemblyman Gerry Scharfenberger for reelection in the uncontested Assembly seat in the 13th legislative district.

Flynn, the president of the Holmdel Board of Education, is challenging Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso, also of Holmdel, for the Monmouth Republican Committee’s endorsement which will be award at a virtual convention on Thrusday, March 18.

“Vicky has done a tremendous job as a member of the Holmdel Board of Education,” said Impreveduto. “I encouraged her to run for the Board six years ago which is a decision that has greatly benefited Holmdel.”

“The residents Holmdel (which includes my 3 grandchildren) are grateful for Vicky’s leadership during the covid-19 pandemic,” Impreveduto continued. “The Holmdel schools are one of the few school districts in the State that provide full day instruction to their students and serve as an example as to how schools can open safely during a pandemic. Vicky is a true asset to our community. She is a problem solver. She is a dedicated public servant. She is a strong supporter of our party. I know she will be an excellent assemblywoman who will work side by side with Gerry Scharfenberger. I am confident that they will be a great team in Trenton representing our interests.”

Impreveduto’s endorsement of Flynn is particularly noteworthy because he served on the Holmdel Township Committee with DiMaso for four years. DiMaso endorsed Impreveduto for Freeholder in 2017.

“I am grateful for the support that Pat has provided to me throughout the years,” Flynn said in her announcement of Impreveduto’s endorsement. “If elected, I will work tirelessly to represent Monmouth County in Trenton as a member of the Assembly.”
